Cover reveal for Mountainfall

Welcome to the cover reveal for Mountainfall, book 4 in The Swordspeaker Saga.

To everyone who has heard the voice of destiny and read one or more books in the series, welcome. To those wondering just what a swordspeaker is, I’m glad you’re here, too. However you stumbled upon this, you’re in for a treat.

I love book covers, especially the older, fancy covers with lots of designs and gilding and metal clasp. The kind you had to physically make for each copy. The publishing of a book should be a monumental event and its cover should reflect that.

While my book is not quite on that level, it’s about as close you can get.

Preorder and release date

Before we get to the cover, a quick update on where the book is in terms of getting to print.

First off, the book is available for preorder RIGHT NOW!

Preorder price is just $2.99

I hope to get all the feedback from beta-readers soon and then, barring any major changes, I’ll do one last draft in April. It will then go to my proofreader and that may take 1-2 months, so the book may be ready for a summer or possibly fall release.

That said, I put in some wiggle room for the actual release date, which is currently December 1st, 2026.

Six months is an awful lot of wiggling, you might be thinking. And you would be correct. But this allows for unexpected issues to pop up and get resolved.

That said, I do have the option to move up the release date and it is my hope that the actual release date will be much earlier.

The Mountain Arises

If you’ve read The Swordspeaker Saga you’ll know that this series is about legendary weapons and the heroes who wield them. Each book features a different weapon. We’ve had a sword (Truesilver), a dagger (Rimewinter), and a morningstar (Grimbriar).

Fans of the series should already know, but what sort of weapon do you think Mountainfall will be?

Let’s get ready to rumble!

Well, how about that? Take me home country roads!

My cover designer outdid herself on this one.

Synopsis

You can’t win a war without an army.

Three swordspeakers set off to rally the scattered forces of Warding against the haukmar invasion. Hunted by savage war parties and twisted creatures bound to the corrupted glaive Shadowriven, death stalks their every step.

Yet the true terror isn’t the enemy at their heels.

It’s the chilling silence from their own people.

Where is the mighty army of the south? Why have they abandoned their northern kin to slaughter?

Finding the answers to those questions will cost them everything.

For the greatest enemies we face are the ones within.

Mountains of Adventure

I hope your excited for an excursion into the mountains. Because there’s no telling what you’ll find in that rarified air. Danger, most certainly. Hardship, without a doubt. And yet, there is beauty there as well. Sometimes it comes in the form of breathtaking landscapes, and other times, from the friends on the journey with you.

But whatever awaits, one thing you be certain of: there are whole heaps of mysteries and adventures waiting to be discovered in this volume. So get excited. Book 4 of The Swordspeaker Saga is on the horizon!

Let me know what you think of the cover and of the new homepage design in the comments below.

And until next time, I’ll see you between the pages.
