Prince of Brazen Cover Reveal

A long time ago, before the coming of the motleys, in the Tizarra Desert, the city of Brazen shone out as the jewel of the Distant Lands. A city resplendent, a city defiant, Brazen, the City of Brass. For centuries it stood, along with the other cities of brass, against their common enemies, the wild and warlike Rifkhan hordes. But over time, one by one, the cities fell, until only Brazen remained.

Now, assassins seek to do what the armies of the Rifkhan could not: bring the city of Brazen to its knees. They are hunting the royal family and will kill them one by one until the city falls in disarray.

Prince Jairin couldn’t care less about all that. Politics and intrigue and the machinations of the court are the furthest things from his mind. All he wants is to be with Rissa, the advisor’s captivating daughter. But the destiny of a prince is never truly his own to decide.

The Prince of Brazen is a tale of love and power set in an Arabian Nights style world. Follow the tale of Prince Jairin as he wrestles against two conflicting destinies to discover which one will ultimately hold sway: his kingdom or his heart.

This story has been in the works for quite some time, actually. It all started with the image of two people who were in love, gazing at each others’ reflections in a brass wall. I had no idea why they were there, but as the events unfolded, it developed into a tale that had ties to The Last Motley and its as-yet-unwritten sequel. The story, none-the-less, is vastly different from The Last Motley. Probably the closest thing I’ve written to it is my upcoming novel, Truesilver, because of the age of the protagonists and some of the difficulties they both share.

I hope readers will enjoy this story in its own right, but also that it will whet their appetite for a longer, fuller tale like Truesilver when it’s released.

For now, look for The Prince of Brazen to be available as a free digital download within the next month or so. You’ll have to be signed up for my newsletter to get your copy because it will not be available anywhere else.

Until next time, I’ll see you between the pages.
