Hmmm, deep quote! I thought it meant one thing and then I read it again and see there is another meaning. I think I read more to remember.

I think what I remember when I read a good book is what life should be about, but which routine and weariness rub away. Because a book, by its very nature is not a “fast” thing. It forces you to slow down and consider things in a way which ordinary life often does not afford.
