Beowulf (Beowulf)
Haling from the most ancient story of any of the rulers in these awards, Beowulf was a great warrior and champion before assuming the kingship of his people the Geats in later years. As king, he showed no less courage and grit in facing his greatest foe, the dragon of Earnanæs.
Rendar (Moonscript)
The wise and caring King of Aselvia, realm of the elves, Rendar is not a true elf, but in fact a celestial. Long ago, he saved the elves and wedded their princess, but since then he has been separated from his original people, though he still guides them from afar.
King Arthur (Arthurian Legends)
The once and future King. Like Beowulf the tales of his famed kingdom Camelot come to us out of the mists of time, whispered and retold dozens of times by many different authors. Yet one thing holds true. He defined for England and for the world what chivalry and nobility meant and remains even after all these years the standard for what a true king should be.
Gwydion (Chronicles of Narnia)
A tall, shaggy haired warrior in his later years, Gwydion was nevertheless a warrior of great renown. Wise in words and in deeds, his counsel was as valued as his sword. Though he did not win every battle he fought, he was the greatest martial leader of Prydain of his age.
Smalls (The Green Ember Series)
A rabbit with the heart of hero, King Smalden “Smalls” Joveson, also known as Jupiter Smalls, was the youngest son of King Jupiter of the Thirty Warrens and his chosen heir, and thus the rightful bearer of the Green Ember. After the War for All Natalia, Smalls took his rightful place as ruler of Natalia.
