I had such a great experience with my booktrack for Into the Vast that I decided to give it another go. So today I’m releasing my booktrack for Jammer and the Blade. In the the two weeks since I first dipped my toes into these new multi-media waters, my Into the Vast booktrack has been read almost 300 times and the kind folks at Booktrack have had it on the front page for most of that time. (A very big thank you to those guys if any one from the company ever reads this).
In fact, the booktrack crew liked the first one enough to contact me and request I submit another one. They said they were even considering including the Into the Vast booktrack in their newsletter. Wow. I know there are a lot of books out there and am humbled that they would show this kind of interest in my work.
Even if they hadn’t asked me, I probably would have done another one anyway because it really is a rewarding experience creating one of these things. The end result is a unique creation and can definitely add to the whole experience of the story by adding in subtle cues as to the tone of the scene. Besides, creating them is fun. The tools, (as I’ve said before) are really intuitive and the film/music director in me loves tinkering with these sorts of things.
So be sure to check out my newest booktrack. And if you do, please leave a comment on the booktrack page or here on this page and let me know what you think.
